Last night we hosted our seventh mallowstreet Rocks gig, at the O2 Academy in Islington.

Congratulations to Prëmier Crüe who were crowned the winner!  And what a winning set list it was:

TRACK | ORIGINAL ARTIST
Cake by the Ocean | DNCE
Little Monster | Royal Blood
Human | Rag and Bone Man
Castle on the Hill | Ed Sheeran
Adventure of a Lifetime | Coldplay
Pretender | Foo Fighters

We will be making donations to their nominated charities: Cavell Nurses’ Trust and The Stroke Association.

The night opened with ASRS, a collection of very talented kids who rocked the house with an amazing set that really got the night off with a bang!

We couldn’t have done it last night without our awesome judges. A big thank you to Josephine Cumbo, Ros Altmann and Phil Redding – you guys rocked!

The other bands presented formidable competition, and we hope to welcome back See No Evil, Hear No Evil; The Shards; and ASRS next year.

A huge thank you to everyone who turned out to support the bands and charities, as well as those people who continue to make donations.

Over the past 5 years we have hosted seven gigs, met more than 20 bands, and raised more than £80,000 for charity.

Thank you for such a rocking night.  We couldn’t have done it without the support of the entire community! For more details on the bands and the evening, click here.

About the Winners: Prëmier Crüe

The band with more changes of rhythm guitarist than the Sugababes have had members, were back once more to rock the O2 Academy in the name of pensions. Frontman @DanPeroni, bassist Bobby Carrot, drumstick-wielder Kris Boogs and guitarists Sean The Cauldron, and Pete The Vicar vowed to wow the loud crowd. And they did!
