Dylan Ross Managing Director and Portfolio Manager, Asset-Backed Finance
Dylan is a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager focused on leading TCW’s expansion into Asset-Backed Finance. Dylan brings to TCW almost 20 years of experience in alternative credit investing with a primary focus on structured credit and asset-backed finance.
Prior to joining TCW in 2024, Dylan spent 16 years at Brigade Capital Management, LP, a $25 billion alternative credit asset manager based in New York. Most recently, he was a partner, portfolio manager, and co-head of Structured Credit, as well as a member of the firm’s management committee. Dylan helped launch the dedicated structured credit fund in 2014 and served as the co-head of the business from inception. During his time at Brigade, dedicated structured credit assets grew to approximately $5 billion. Dylan was also responsible for the structuring of Brigade’s global CLO issuance platform which exceeded $10 billion in AUM at his departure. Prior to Brigade, Dylan was an analyst in the Global Structured Product group at Banc of America Securities. Additionally, Dylan serves on the Leadership Council at Success Academy, a charter school network based in New York City. Dylan received his BA in Mathematical Economics from Pomona College.

Kallie Steffes Managing Director, Asset-Backed Finance
Kallie is a Managing Director on TCW’s Asset-Backed Finance (“ABF”) investment team and is focused on originating, underwriting and executing ABF investment opportunities. She brings to TCW almost 20 years of experience in alternative credit investing with a primary focus on asset-backed and corporate private credit.
Before joining TCW in 2023, Kallie was a Managing Director at Brigade Capital Management, LP, a global asset management firm focused on the credit space, where she focused on private credit investing. Prior to joining Brigade in 2021, she was a founding partner of Chalk Point Capital LP where she focused on private special situation investments across a wide variety of industries. Previously, Kallie spent almost a decade as a Principal on the investment team at MHR Fund Management LLC, a multi-billion private credit and special situations firm that invests in undervalued middle market companies and assets. Her career started as an Investment Banking Analyst at Deutsche Bank and Morgan Stanley, after which she spent three years from 2006 to 2009 on the investment team at Owl Creek Asset Management, L.P., a multi-billion dollar, value-oriented credit hedge fund in New York. Kallie holds a BBA, with high distinction, from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and was a full scholarship athlete and member of the University of Michigan Varsity Women’s Gymnastics team.

Cag Guner Managing Director, Sales and Marketing – UK
Cag joined TCW in 2022 as Managing Director in the International Marketing group based in London, responsible for TCW’s activities in growing the UK and Northern European business focusing on consultants, pensions, and insurance clients. He has over 20 years of experience across M&A advisory, strategy consulting, investment management, and business development.
Prior to TCW, Cag was head of UK & Nordics Client Coverage at Credit Suisse Asset Management. Before returning to Credit Suisse, he worked at BlackRock Investment Management in London where he helped look after some of the firm’s largest global clients. Prior to BlackRock, he spent seven years at Credit Suisse Investment Bank and Alternative Investments. He started his career at PriceWaterhouseCoopers Advisory in Istanbul. Cag has a BSc in Economics from Middle East Technical University (METU), an MSc in Finance from London Business School, and a Certificate in Investment Management from CFA UK.

Alex Lennon-Smith Managing Director Sales and Marketing – UK
Alex is responsible for TCW’s activities in growing and maintaining the UK Institutional business channel. In this role, he engages with key partners, focusing on consultants, pensions, and insurance clients. Alex has 20 years of experience in finance, across trading, sales, and business development.
Prior to joining TCW, he spent eight years building and developing the UK footprint for Credit Suisse Asset Management, building relationships with consultants, pensions, insurers, and global financial institutions. He spent six years as a management consultant for ACF & Co, where he supported the management of a portfolio of distressed companies through the turnaround phase. He also was a junior portfolio manager, trading volatility in listed derivatives. Alex completed an MSc in Finance at London Business School and is a CFA charterholder.
