mallowstreet University Digital Roundtable - Africa: Investing in a Continent’s Future

Africa has been more successful than Europe and North America in its fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. A closer look at qualitative as well as quantitative factors can help explain why this is the case.

Reforms of recent years and the empowerment of civil society in a number of countries is helping to drive this process. Indeed, with high population growth rates, most countries have no choice but to champion reform and economic growth.

The ensuing demand for products, services and trade flows requires viable financing options. Innovative credit solutions can reduce the $100 billion African trade finance gap, while supporting economic development and promoting the UN Sustainable Development Goals. In this Digital Roundtable we will explore how a dedicated investment strategy can help address these issues, whilst also generating a superior risk/return profile.

This morning session is accredited for CPD points by the Pensions Management Institute (PMI) and is exclusively for pension fund decision makers and their advisers.
