Baroness Neville-Rolfe, who leads the current review of the state pension, has issued a call for evidence gathering information to inform her report. Written evidence can be submitted until 25 April.

Neville-Rolfe, a Tory peer and former Treasury official, is inviting views “from as wide a range of people as possible”, noting that “this could include experts in the fields [of] longevity and aging, older people and labour market, intergenerational fairness and the fiscal challenges associated with an aging population".

The questions in the call for evidence span intergenerational fairness, labour market changes, affordability and life expectancy, but also behavioural factors, such as how people decide when to retire.
